MaitreChezMoi.ca is an online notary services platform operating in Quebec, Canada. The will search service is supervised by a qualified notary who is a member in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

2. Service Description

MaitreChezMoi.ca offers a will search service with the Barreau du Québec's Register of Wills and the Chambre des notaires du Québec. This service is intended for estates opened in Quebec.

3. Pricing and Payment Terms

The service fee is CAD $500 + applicable taxes (GST and QST). A deposit of $250 is required upon order. The remaining balance of $250 is invoiced upon delivery of the official report. Payment is made online by credit card via a secure platform.

4. Refund Policy

The $250 deposit is refundable if the file has not yet been submitted to the registers. Once the search has begun, no refund can be issued. For any request, contact us at info@maitrechezmoi.ca.

5. Processing Time

The report is delivered within 5 to 10 business days following receipt of the complete file. This timeframe may vary depending on the workload of the registries concerned.

6. Collection and Use of Personal Information

The personal information collected (name, contact details, information about the deceased) is used exclusively for the purpose of processing your will search file. We do not sell or share your information with third parties, except as part of the necessary procedures with the Barreau du Québec and the Chambre des notaires.

7. Data Security

All uploaded documents are transmitted and stored securely. We apply protection measures in accordance with the requirements of Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information) of Quebec.

8. Right of Access and Rectification

These conditions are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
